CANADIAN ROCKIES TRAIN JOURNEY
Posted by Sunny
For a truly spectacular holiday why not consider traveling by train through the Rocky Mountains. You will see some of the most awesome scenery in the world. Around every corner is something new to delight the eye. Majestic cedar and fir trees, beautiful mountain lakes and rivers, cascading waterfalls, glaciers and the fabulous Canadian Rockies. On this trip you will see wonderful wildlife, birds, bear, deer, moose to name but a few.
Traveling by train through the Rockies gives you the best of all worlds. The trains are incredibly comfortable and give you a great viewing platform to see and photograph all the wonders you are going to travel through. You can eat delicious food carefully prepared and served while you gaze out at the beautiful passing world. You will be traveling an historic train route constructed over 100 years ago through Canada’s West and the Canadian Rockies. The journey will take you through one of the largest protected areas on earth the UNESCO Rocky Mountain World Heritage Site. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and it is all there for you to look at, photograph and enjoy.
It is usual to break your journey each evening by staying in the comfort of a Hotel. So you can go out for dinner, watch some local entertainment or just explore a new place. You can also combine these journeys with stays at Guest Ranches or with an Adventure Holiday which includes bungee jumping, glacier flightseeing, eco adventure tours where you glide along zip lines over the breathtakingly beautiful Fitzsimmons Creek, kayaking, bear watching, hiking, fishing and jet boat tours.
This is a holiday to suit the elderly who want to travel in comfort and be well taken care of or by the adventurous soul who wants to get out there and try everything and all those folk in between. Whatever your age or what ever you are looking for in a holiday I think you will find it on a train journey through the Canadian Rocky Mountains
