When you think of Las Vegas you probably think of gambling but Las Vegas is fun for kids too. It is a great place for both adults and children. There is just so much to see and do you can return time after time and still visit old favourites or find something new to see and do.
I am going to list just 10 of my favourite attractions for kids but there are plenty more to keep them excited and happy on their vacation.
1. Adventuredome. This is America’s largest indoor theme park. It is five and a half acres covered in a glass dome with pink trim. Inside is a true thrill seekers delight.
2. Big shot. 1,000 feet in the air on top of one of the tallest buildings is the Big Shot. It launches you 160 feet up a tower in 2 seconds. Not for the faint hearted!!
3. Chaos. A combination of the Tilt a Whirl and the Scrambler. Passengers spin, tilt and flip.
4. The Floyd Lamb State Park. Something a bit slower and quieter. Ponds, picnic areas, barbecues and scenic paths. Lots of space to get rid of some energy.
5. Gameworks. This new video playground was created by Steven Spielberg and his colleagues. This is a world inspired by Area 51, very high tech and glamorous and sure to please the kids and adults.
6. The Grand Canyon. No trip to Las vegas is complete without a trip out to the Grand Canyon. One of the wonders of the world and a great day out for all the family.
7. Insanity. As the name suggests you will probably think you were insane to get on this ride as you are pulled out at a 70 degree angle over Las Vegas 900 feet below. Fantastic for thrill seekers.
8. Las Vegas Cyber Speedway. Visitors control cars that are 7/8th the size of real stock cars as they speed around the track. Great fun for the kids and Dad.
9. Madame Tussauds. This is always a favourite and an ever changing exhibition.
10. Speed - The Ride. This is a great ride. Riders plummet through a 25 foot deep underground tunnel, then a 72 foot high loop and a 224 foot tower and back again all in 45 seconds.
As I said these are just 10 of the attractions in Las Vegas for the kids and of course Mom and Dad. There are dozens more from viewing the stars at the Planetarium, to watching the dolphins play or the excitement of a thrilling ride, it is all there just waiting for the family in Las Vegas.
